Warsaw International Film Festival — originally a film student-driven event going back to its origins in 1985, this is now a major film festival held every October in Warsaw, which is used to showcase recently-made Polish and international films (including those made in nearby Eastern European countries like Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Romania, Serbia).
